CuteCircuit designed four amazing interactive jackets for legendary band U2. The jackets have been designed considering every single detail, there are no wires in the system, the smart textile circuitry is able to lay flat against the body, the lights escape through thousands of minuscule apertures in the jackets and they look and feel like beautiful leather jackets.
Zooropa was chosen to be played after 15 years on this first show in Denver Colorado during the final leg of their spectacular 360 Tour. The jackets and music created a truly exceptional moment for the band and their fans.
All matched to perfection, the set simulating a brightly-lit futuristic city with a spectacular “spaceship-on-four-legs” and the overall effect of the four artists wearing the startling leather jackets.
Bono, Adam Clayton, The Edge and Larry Mullen Jr. wore these masterpieces exclusively during the North American leg of the 360° Tour and were used for a number of songs in each performance including “City of Blinding Lights”, “Crazy”, “Sunday Bloody Sunday” among others.
The Jackets are some of the most spectacular garments ever created and an example of innovative design, craftsmanship, and technical achievement.
