For the Paris 2024 Olympics, CuteCircuit collaborated with Kenya Breweries Limited and Tusker on an interactive collection for Team Kenya.
Designed by Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz, the garments bring Kenyan heritage and wearable technology together. Patterns inspired by the Maasai shuka meet illuminated displays carrying messages of encouragement from supporters.
Bringing supporters to Paris
Through Tusker’s Champions of Cheer campaign, fans could send messages to the athletes from home. Integrated microelectronics and smart fabrics brought those messages onto the garments, making support visible.
The collection connects the athletes’ experience in Paris with the people cheering them on in Kenya, using light and pattern as expressions of that shared connection.
