The Twirkle t-shirt features in the new wearable technology exhibit “Wired to Wear” at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. The exhibit also features the HugShirt and SoundShirt. This special edition of the Twirkle t-shirt features a laser distance ranger that senses the distance of the museum visitors from the installation.

The sensor changes the colour of the micro-LED decoration based on the distance, with sparkling white lights activating when a visitor is very close, and glowing in green and aqua when the visitor is approaching, through the whole rainbow of colours when walking by. The 20 t-shirts in the installation create a reactive surface that invites the visitors to play.
